TOPP Foundation’s Family Camp Scholarship Program
TOPP Foundation provides scholarships to Camp Nejeda’s Family Camp because of the positive impact and fun experiences family camp offers families living with type one diabetes.

Type 1 diabetes affects every member of the family, presents daily challenges, and can be emotional and stressful. Family Camp at Camp Nejeda in Newton, NJ, is an enjoyable mini vacation and a fantastic way to have fun quality time together and connect with other T1D families. Fun and family-friendly camp activities take place with opportunities for parents, kids, and siblings to meet and talk with other families who share their unique challenges. It can be a positive experience for every member of the family and help them realize they are not alone with the disease. These weekends are a great introduction to the Camp Nejeda experience for younger children, newly diagnosed children, and children who don’t feel ready to attend summer camp on their own. Attending Family Camp also provides a peek into camp life for parents and siblings.

It is our belief that all T1D families deserve the opportunity to experience a fun getaway with others who understand the impact Type 1 Diabetes has on the entire family. TOPP will be awarding a limited amount of aid scholarships for Family Camp at Camp Nejeda to T1D families from Bucks County, Montgomery County, and Philadelphia County, PA.

This is a $500 lottery scholarship to help defray the cost of tuition. Eligible applicants will be entered into a lottery drawing and have an equal chance of winning. The scholarship application window opens on February 15th, 2024 and closes one month before each camp session. Example: If the family is attending the 6/21-6/23 session, the application is due by 5/21/24.

Camp Nejeda Family Camp Dates

June Family Camp 6/21/24-6/23/24 Scholarship application deadline is 5/21/24.

1^st August Family Camp 8/18/24-8/20/24 Scholarship application deadline is 7/18/24.

2^nd August Family Camp 8/22/24-8/24/24 Scholarship application deadline is 7/22/24.

Labor Day Family Camp 8/31/24-9/2/24 Scholarship application deadline is 7/31/24.
